Touching clutch and pp surfaces

I would. The latest issue of the MARC magazine, Model "A" News has a article about the two clutch discs. The article says to use the one with the green springs and give an example of the other type coming apart in use, requiring a clutch job.

I ordered a new clutch disc from a reputable supplier.
My senior, wiser, greyer, more experienced club members asked if it had “green springs”.
“Only use the one with green springs.”
Alas, mine does not. I’m reading here I leaned some have ‘caged springs’. Not sure if mine does. See photo
Do I need to order another clutch disc with green springs from the other supplier?

Diastole

I would. I have been telling members for years to only use the disk with the caged springs. Bratton's has the correct one. https://www.brattons.com/CLUTCH-DISC/productinfo/11400/
