47 Ford Torque Tube Cap assembly that connects to back of transmission.
The two cap assembly halves, one has a zerk fitting/grease nipple on it, and I noticed it is sandwiched between the transmission mount on the lower passenger side of the torque tube cap is on horizontally, therefore making it impossible to actually get to the nipple? how was this supposed to be installed so that the location of the nipple can be gotten to? Now, can this be changed while drive train is all bolted together? I took floorboard out to clean up and put in new seals, and realized that where I had work done on the car several years back that the trans mount bolts did not have nuts and lock washers on them... not good, good thing I hadn't driven the car much.
That's when I noticed and realized that the zerk fitting cannot be in the right spot, maybe they spotted their error and never finished bolting it in.
