THIS is why you join a Model A club

I am a member of the Model A Drivers Club of East Central Ohio. Even tho I cannot attend meetings most of the time, I joined just to make new friends & have some help in case of issues with my car. I feel it is a invaluable resource since not everyone knows about the nuances of the Model A these days.

There are some clubs (don't matter the brand or vintage) that are only social clubs and there are those that are hands on about the cars themself. While I am active in the local T club, it is more in the social direction and has been from the start.
So know what you want when you join, not all clubs are the same.

Our club is definitely an active one! The Skyline A's meet every other month on a Saturday morning for a tune up/ fixit day. This past Saturday we had a great speaker come and talk generators, then worked on several cars including eliminating the "death wobble " from one! This is in addition to the monthly meetings and runs.

Both MAFCA and MARC seem to be holding up fairly well. The Model A Ford community is active and Model A's continue to still be popular among enthusiasts.

Compared to the Ford Galaxie Club and the Fairlane Club they are both on the edge of extinction, members are dropping out in droves, not renewing. It is so bad the former of these two is basically begging for donations, to try to keep it going. Paper costs for the magazines just increased another 6% (?)
A friend who used to belong to the Galaxie Club said that they already went from 6 issues per year to four, it is now quarterly.
Their days are numbered.
