Ford did not give away the Rotunda shift knobs. There was a small charge.
I never saw a yellow one.
 
The picture of the gear shift knob is one that was re-created for the 1983 Early Ford V-8 Clubs Grand National Meet in Dearborn MI. The knob was manufactured by DC Ford Reproductions and was a 1938 Ford knob. Now the coin insert was from the 1988 Early Ford V-8 Grand National. Amazing how parts are interchangeable.
