Many people use the word "Survivor" loosely. Today many cars advertised are either "barn finds" or "survivors". The car you are looking at gives true meaning to the word survivor. This Mustang remained in southern California under it's original owners care until he passed in 2003. Not only does the condition of this car reflect the careful care it was given, maintenance records from day one back it up. Just 3,000 sunny miles have been logged on this beauty since it left the West Coast. The Sahara Beige paint shines well and is 90% original ! There may be a very very minor ding or brush touch up here or there, but overall this car shows very well. The original black interior is in mint condition with minor wear showing on the driver side carpet. All seats are perfect without wear or rips, there isn't a seam split. The dash is absolutely in new condition, no pitting on any of the chrome, the ash tray and cigarette lighter have never been used ! All the original Carlite glass is in place without any chips or scratches. The exterior chrome is in great shape too. The 289 2v engine has never been resprayed and the complete California smog system is in place. Under the hood you'll find a very clean original engine bay. The trunk still has it's original floor mat in place as well as spare tire and jack. This car runs and drives as new, recently all four shocks were replaced and a front end alignment performed. The A/C is in working order although it may need to be recharged.
This Mustang has been cared for very well. It has not been ripped apart and rebuilt using off shore aftermarket parts. This is a "Ford" Mustang not a reproduction built car called a Mustang. You know what I mean !
If you are looking for a high quality original car at a fraction of the cost to restore one to comparable condition this is the car for you !
The original California black plates with Ralph Williams Ford dealer plate frames are in the trunk. When I said this car received meticulous care I mean it. The original owner even saved the original DAV miniature key chain tag ! The odometer shows 107,780 actual miles, although the car looks more like 10,780 miles. You'll be very happy to own this car !
