Stromberg 97 Bug Screen Install with Frog air scoop

I've searched everywhere for this answer, so here I am!
For my 97, I decided to get a frog mouth air scoop, and it came with a square bug screen.

Do I cut the square screen to mount on the carb before I install the frog mouth over it, use it square and form it round over the carb and then mount the frog mouth, or do I buy a domed air screen Insert.

It seems I should just bend and mould the screen to the carb and then put the frog mouth over it, but I want to make sure before I do any damage to anything.

I am not a Stromberg expert. But, will the air scoop fit over the bent over screen? If that is the case then I would say that is the way to go. Of course, trim it to be a neat looking installation.
