Speedo rebuilders

I think I need to have my S.W. speedo rebuilt. It's making noise. Never did that before. Cable well lubed and not broke or twisted. Maybe time for a rebuild. Is there any good Speedo rebuilers out there anyone would recommend. Thanks

I'm going to try and tackle mine myself. At least replace the numbers. Any how-too's out there?

I sent mine to Harry Wardburton in N.C. So far I am very pleased with it. I tinkered with another speedo for a friend. It was in good original condition, but was way off as far as accuracy. Him and I spent the better part of the day trying to get it calibrated with no luck. He finally sent it off also, but I am not sure who he sent it to. Here is the contact info below. Rod

I thought about tackling it myself to but have read before about all the little springs and delicate things inside there and it kind of scared me off that i would make it worse.

Bills Speedo Shop Sidney Ohio 937 492 7800 did a nice job for me and I thought he was very reasonable. Joe

We did a review of Chris Cushman in Wichita in the Model A Times. Testing his rebuilds they are right on the money.

There are a number of threads on Fordbarn detailing steps you can take to troubleshoot speedometer problems. You very well may be able to resolve the noise issue yourself. Gar Williams
