Be happy that this is the case. Removing it is dangerous and time consuming. The snow gets ugly and dirty after a while. The road salt screws up your vehicles. I work outside every day; I don't mind the cold, but I hate the fricken snow. I am looking forward to moving out of the snow belt in the future.

We are also in the upstate SC area. I was not expecting snow drifts in the carport. My truck is going to have to thaw out some.

I'm sure you guys have heard of the weather girl on tv who said she hoped to get 8 inches tonight, apparantly the whole film crew were rolling around on the floor and production was momentairily lost.Ha Ha.

Six inches of Snow in the NW Indiana region today.
I been plowing for my City Public Works all day.

We're supposed to get another inch here on top of the 5 inches we got sunday night. Pipes under house frozen gotta go back under the house and try to thaw them out.

Just dont use fire --- hate to see you in the news about house destroyed by fire.

Use hair drier or heat gun --- but be careful about frozen solid --- could explode and get you very wet...................

Those little heat stoves you get with the MRE's get really hot. I would bet that a few of those little heaters could thaw out some pipes.

The truckers were warned to stay away from I-75 south of Atlanta, but they did not. They thought it was just snow and they could handle that, but it was 2 inches of ICE covering the road. I-75 is shut down, trucks all over the place and the temperature is going down to 17 tonight. High of 31 tomorrow, then back down. I am just camped out inside for a few days!!

It's Tues. evening and the forcasters say snow after midnite here in Conn., they say 10-20 inches of fluffy stuff before it's over. snow I don't mind, it's snow, sleet, freezing rain we usually get that I hate! I have to go in to work as the owner gets very upset if we don't show. I have to go 25 miles each way to the Ford dealer where I work, just to twiddle my thumbs all day. I guess I'll do my obsolete parts return and get it ready to go back to Ford. That will kill the day!! I hate snow, but yet I'm still in New England. Arizona, New Mexico looks good right now.................

Jerry, I'm also very glad that I bought an 8N tractor last year but unfortunately for me I do not have a scraped blade or a front end bucket attachment yet. Looks like I'll have to rely on my snow blower and snow shovel for the snow we have coming tomorrow :(.

Also, I just sent you a PM (actually 3 PM's) on some questions you sent me a few days ago. Hope that info helps.
JM just mount a doubled up piece of plywood on the drawbar. I plowed that way for years. Of course you do get a sore neck from looking back.
Forgot to mention you have to use some chain to keep the blade upright.

My 8N is still in the shed. It will go in the snow ok, but gets hung up on the ice under it. Guess I'll have to get it in the garage and put the chains on one of these days. Oh well, I guess I'll keep using the snow blower for a while. More snow tonight, but at least some of you other guys get to share in this fun for a change LOL! Regards from the "Lake affected" North coast. Paul Selfe.

Yesterdays snow was covered in ice when I looked out this morning - 'got a paper yesterday but not to-day. I do not remember ever getting this much snow - Christmas & now - in the 50 years I have lived in the sandhills of NC. My grandchildren in NYC and Boston area have had "snow days" and looks like they'll have one tomorrow. Growing up in Boston we never had snow days - walk to school about a mile.

Just do what us guys do, wax her shovel really good and dress her very warm and send her out to work ! Not really for me, but a neighbor whose hands don't seem to fit around tools very well lets his wife go out and clean off cars as well as clean the walk way etc. How many fellas are that kind to their wives and gal pals ?

Phoenix City Al. ? Wow, I never would have thought in a million years I would hear of snow so far south. I was at Benning back in 57-59 and read the "Phoenix City story" so drove over the river to see what used to be. Pretty bad stuff. I talked to someone who said Its still going on but more under ground now ? You guys are lucky you only get this crap very rarely. This has been a great winter for me so far as I've been able to remain upright all winter so far as opposed to other winters when its slippery walking and I'm in a prone position often when trying to walk outside. If ya'll hate the snow, cheer up, it will be gone before too long. Take care, Bob

22 plus inches here in Conn today. Broke the record! Some areas over towards Rhode Island-Mass corner showed 33 inches! Reminds me of the storms we used to get in the mid 60's when I was a kid. Driving I-84 to work this morn was a virtual white out going 15 miles an hour. White knuckles for sure!

I am no climate ologist, but I understand the reason for the snowfall derives from evaporation rates of warmer oceans! Sorry guys, but it is REAL, the melting icebergs
being the strongest indicators accessible to common sense!

Just my humble opinion also,but..........psssssssth! I have read that the sea ice in the North is normal now and the ice in the south pole is increasing .That don't make it a fact because you can read just about any possible opinion.Climates have been changing for eons.I just don't think its man made. The jet stream has changed to bring the cold further south. The magnetic poles are off also, did man do that?
This conversation will never be over, there are too many variables. All I know is I WANT global warming,I love the heat. :)
