How about “ Dillinger left his Tommy gun behind in this car “ seriously driving is an another skill that has been left behind, how many people you know that can’t drive a standard shift car? Was an incident in Cleveland where a carjacker couldn’t steal the car because it was a standard !
 
Install an "Easy Rider Rifle Rack" in the back window with a couple of shot guns. They'll keep their distance.

Over here, and I assume it is the same in the US, if a driver hits the back of another car, there is no argument about who is at fault and therefore pays the damages. I recommend driving like they are not there - ignore them. As my father used to say, "I pay my taxes and duties just like anybody else. That means the bit of road under my car is MINE until I am finished wit it - then you can have it."

My wife and I raised 6 kids, 5 girls and a boy. After they had their license for about a year I made all of them learn to drive a stick. I know a couple of them were not happy with me at the time but I did get a thanks when they were older. Definitely a skill everyone should know.

Stress levels are high these days and people are just looking for someone to take it out on. A slower vehicle is an easy target. A sign may make you a target for increased aggression.
 
I actually had a Soccer Mom pass me in her UAV in a school zone!! I was going the speed limit. Must have been late for her hair appointment or something else important.
 
I doubt any sign will help if they’re oblivious to begin with.

A club member loaned me one of these amber LED strobe panels for my 40 mile nighttime drive home from rural Texas last night.

It sticks to the back of the car with very strong magnets covered by a rubber suction cup to protect the paint.
I could clearly see it reflecting off the windshield of cars which stopped close behind me at traffic lights. It is very bright (unlike many drivers haha) even during the daytime, and would require higher-than-average distraction to miss.
I suppose it might violate the vehicle code in some jurisdictions.
As an alternative measure, I have driven with the four-way hazard flashers on when the following traffic spooked me.

Reminds me of the old joke about the mule driver who carried section of 2x4, saying the mule does follow directions, but you just need to get his attention first. On the other hand, my son and I witnessed a motorist blocking a fire engine at a red light, despite the thunderously loud electric horn volley and Vesuvius-level light display. We were at least 150 feet from the intersection and the horn blast was frightening. Yet there she sat. Unbelievable.

I've seen just that same thing. I just can't get my head around the incredible level of stupidity of people like that.
One time, I was the driver in front of an ambulance at a red light. I pulled over into the adjoining lane in front of the front car. The ambulance went past me and some idiot pulled up right where I was, leaving me no where to go. Amazing self entitlement!

Hello ,saw the blocking the road incident over the weekend, idiot insisted on making a left turn rather than clearing the road for an ambulance! Stupidity reigns supreme. I also made my kids learn how to drive a standard, that’s all I would buy years ago . Hard to find a standard shift car today!

Any of the computerized modern cars will not be around in 30 years or so, the technology will pass them by and they won’t be running, modern cars are throwaways.
