I have a 26-27 cowl section. Ialso have a ? frnt half of touring. I have from the doors to the back of front seat. It is not ford. I have ordered a back from Howell for the ford touiring. I am making the side pieces the back bolts to and the doors close on. The old piees on teh ? whatever are 6 inches dies, (that is where the bront back of touring bolts to the back haf. The piecens the door close on at about 24 in long and 61/2 inches wide. What if I make those pieces as wide as the 26-27 or wider. Will it look out of sorts?

Bob, many a touring had the back section removed and a wood bed installed in its place.
Most of the time they did not care about making the front section look like a roadster. Who cared back then, they wanted to haul things.
Look at some of the pickups at a tour and you might be surprised at the fact that they were touring at one time.
