Repro Fenders

Open can,, let worms escape. I am rebuilding a 31 68B Cabriolet and need to replace the fenders. My search for originals has been very disappointing,,, although bullet holes seem to be in high fashion. I have heard that the repros are of very poor quality for fit and finish. Does anyone know of an exception? I.E.,, Brookville, etc.? Thanks for your input.

They are not as good as good originals, but are much better than rusted, ripped, run over by a bulldozer, or otherwise destroyed originals. I have used them, and they do require fitting, and drilling, but faced with no good originals, they are an alternative.

Repro fenders like everyone said need a working over [fit]. But as 2manycars state better then rusted, ripped and run over by a bulldozer[fresh solid steel]. I have worked with them since 1974 [gaslight] for show and drivers[not for judging in MAFCA or MARC]. Snyder's Bratton's, and other's all the same. Its the shipping cost that will kill you. If you are not in a hurry wait for Hershey and pick them up there from a vendor[no shipping cost]. [CALL FIRST] to order] If you are not going to Hershey then buy or pickup from you locale vendor.Exsample working on a car now for someone. rear fenders were $90.00 more for shipping, but the guy want's the car yesterday.

I have been told that the repop coupe/rdstr fenders are not real bad to fit as compared to the repop sedan rear fenders. Some refitting is required though. Still looking for a decent rh 29 sedan rear fender, but being very patient as money is tight. Rod

I hnow Albright Towing has been bring truck loads of Model A Roadster/Coupe/Pickup rear fenders to Hershey for years. How do theirs compair to the ones Brookville sells?

I used Brookville and Gaslight. 6 of one/ 1/2 dosen of the other. If you need fenders, you need some thing that ain't gona take a week in prep work just to paint. Most fit well enough to do the job. Then your gona scratch em. LOL Iceman
