Where was the radio controller placed on the steering column -- above or below the steering column support bracket (not that it makes a difference)
Thanks
Back in the late 50's I had a 35 Ford coupe with a very similar radio and the controller was fastened to the bottom of the dash to the left of the steering column. No guarantee that it is the correct location. The same car was missing a back quarter window so I seperated the other quarter window (the laminate between the 2 pieces of glass had delaminated) and used one half on each side. Just another backyard fix.
A blue tooth speaker sitting on the package tray. Great sound and listen to any radio station in the word for free. Also you can answer the phone hands free. Have a power inverter wired in to keep them charged. However most of the time I prefer to listen to the car.
I had one of those - Motorola 500. Tuner dial went upstream (steering wheel side) of the gas tank bracket, but downstream of the dash-mounted bracket (the later bracket, added to my car). Finally sold it to a guy who wanted to convert it to a Bluetooth Speaker.
JayJ: Thanks for the photo. I have a company that takes a Controller and manufactures the receiver while keeping all the viewable hardware stock appearances. www.retroradioshop.com
They're located in Canada, so I had to pay tariffs both ways
