Before running boards many early autos used a step plate to gain entrance. I have one of these early steps and it would also be a possible SPEEDSTER project part if no very early auto owner claims it. This is a round 5 inch step attached to a mounting arm that goes up under the body mounting in two places for strength. It is good solid metal step with good solid mount.
