power steering hose bracket

Installing a power steering set up on 54 Mercury, 256 y-block V8.. There is a hose bracket that the two large p.s. hoses run through from the pump down to the control unit. Exactly where does this bracket mount to?? Looks like it mounts with a 5/16 bolt that clamps the two hoses into a rubber grommet to secure them.
If anybody has a 54-56 Ford or Merc with a y-block V8 with original factory power steering, I'm sure yours would be the same. Thanks for any info on this.

Not a 54-56 Merc or even a full sized Ford, but maybe it's close enough?

That is about where it mounted on my 55. I had a 54 with P/S also, but removed the bracket on the 55 because it constricts the movement too much, one hose fitting broke at the control valve. On my 55, I tied the two hoses together, and wrapped one with a heater hose protector, then let it move as the wheels were turned. I never had a problem with that in over 15 years of use.
