piston rings

I have a new, in the box, set of Model A piston rings made by Pacific Piston Ring Co. There is no size printed anywhere on the box or in the packaging but the box is labeled No 200. What size are they?

I would guess at "std", the 200 being stock #, if it had "200-10" I would think .010 over.

if it is a very old box (30s) std would be more likely because most would not have been bored.

The old style 1 piece oil rings with flat spring expanders do not work as well as modern 3 piece oil rings with a chrome facing.

to find size you need a block with a known bore size, install a ring in the bore, measure the end gap ---known diameter, minus feeler gauge = ring diameter
