OK, it must be my computer...

The "thumbnail" I posted of 4-28 guys, the faces are blured, even when I go to enlarge it...not clear deffinition.

Even David's avitar of his 28 Phaten is kind of blury.

Now is there something on my end that can correct this problem or am I going to have to live with it?

The original photo I took to make the "thumbnail" is as clear as a bell!

So what is the problem here?

Thanks.

Pluck

Have you looked at the picture on another computor?

Is the computor monitor set correctly? I know my desktop monitor was set wrong once and wasn't as clear as it should be.

Nope, it is not your 'puter, nor your screen, nor your eyes!

Steve,

I noticed the same problem when I posted my photos of my Armenia expedition searching for GAZ A parts. Photos were originally crystal clear to be able to see the parts details.....but when it was transferred using the "Manage Attachments" function on Fordbarn, the processed blurred them down to the point where you can not see what the parts even are!

I think the blurring process happens when the Fordbarn software reduces your photo size to the max of 620 X 280 (for .jpg files) and 19.5 KB.

Here is a sample photo as downloaded to the Photobucket.com then posted using the "Insert Image" button in the menu bar of Fordbarn (little yellow box with what looks like mountains and a moon located in the menu bar).

Then below is the same photo as posted using the "Manage Attachments" button and then automatically posted as a "Attached Thumbnail" (see bottom of this post):

Fordially,
Brad in Germany

Pluck, your posted pic is 36 Kb, it has been reduced by fordbarn.

Right click on your original pic on your hard drive and click properties or image info or whatever and see how big it is in in Kb.

If you right click on Brad's pic/s and image info...

offsite hosted big one is 614.06 KB (628,801 bytes) 1,024px × 768px

same pic as uploaded to fordbarn thumbnail and clicked to open is.....

98.8 KB (101,167 bytes) 800px × 600px (scaled to 462px × 346px)

So, for clarity, you will have to host pic offsite and load in at 1028X768.

In other words? Pluck is taking smaller pictures (camera setting) Brad's thumbnail is large after second click (higher resolution) Pluck's much smaller (lower resolution)

Sorry pooch, different words for us dummies? :)
