If you peruse ebay on a regular basis you will notice that the majority of A's there do NOT have shocks. Seems to be the 1st thing removed? The fully restored ones do tend to have the shocks installed. Just my observation. Even when I was looking to purchase my A, the 12-15 I looked at only about 4 had any shocks installed.

It was a rare thing for me to see an A with shocks for years. My grandfather sold A's new,and said the shocks were so troublesome they were taken off after three years or so.They were nice when they were new,but with the rough roads they were beaten to death in a short time.
Now, there's something I've never seen before! I wonder what the thinking was behind that design? Probably didn't have to patent it because no one would want to copy it. LOL
Do Model A shocks really work? Has anyone done a side by side drive test with one with and another without shocks? Dad's a cane without them in 1961, he did buy a set but we never put them on the car. They are in a box somewere, but installing them is way down on my things to do list.
