nice old coupe on FB- no affiliation 7500.

thx for posting Ford.

people on the Barn never seem to buy, why I end up selling elsewhere. lol

The car is still available. .....unfortunately the title situation is a mess. So basically no title.
Listing that car on Craigslist here in SoCal would fetch 12-15 grand. I've heard that cars from states that do not issue titles can be transferred/registered in states that do issue titles using the registration paperwork. Another route is to show up with a bunch of receipts for frame, body, engine and tell them you assembled it from parts. There is also what they call a bonded title. That is where you buy a bond for 3-5 years and if no one comes forward in that time saying it was stolen from them they release the bond and issue a title.

The car is still available. I listed it for a friend over a year ago for what I told him I thought was too high of a price... unfortunaly he overpaid for it when he bought it a few years ago and hauled it up here. He drove it some and put it in storeage. He asked me to advertise it and it looked like it was sold so he took.itnout of storeage and had it ready to be hauled home.. but that guy never showed. So I updated the pics this summer and he has had lots of interest but no one has come out to look at it.. so he finally allowed me to lower the price to where I though it would sale at. It is a solid car but does have old crappy bodywork in areas and unfortunately the title situation is a mess. So basically no title. With some tlc it could be a driver as is as it is presentable at a distance. Honestly I wish i had the money to buy it off him, i would love to daily drive it!
I'll nibble since I've been looking for another A. Since I don't have facebook, I'll ask you here. Is the motor number on the side of the block fall into the 1930 range? I don't mind non matching numbers, but I'm not a fan of for instance a 28 number in a 31 car.

Here are some more pics of it if anyone has any interest.

As far as the when he bought it he was given a title but never paid attention to. Well unfortunately it has a buyers name written in of some long previous buyer who never transfered it... so basically a dead title.

I like it! has 'the look!' imo... and no doubt that unmistakable vintage aroma, too! I paid $200.00 for my first '30 A coupe....

no title wouldn't bother me, I could just enjoy it up on the ranch! use it as a farm vehicle. haul round bales hither n yon... maybe get it in for the annual 4th July parade thru town! but the price is a bit of a stumbling block. old cars, no titles nbd, imo! i got me a '54 Cheb half-ton... long sitting in place decades ago, still there... no run, no title, ...nbd! :D:p:D:rolleyes:

if you think of the price as a stumbling block, body 4-5k
chassis 2500. and yes, it is worth it and a rodder will most likely buy it.

therein lies the problem..........guys on this site want them for free! LOL

Here is a pic of it

So, based on the A vin decoder, comes out to may 18, 1931. Since after may 22 or so they started using the indented firewall, it could be possible that the car might actually be a 31 that had a replacement rad shell at one point. but most likely scenario is that it has had an engine swap.

ronn, don't say never.
in 2022 I sold our Town Sedan in less than 48 hours on FordBarn to a guy who had been in the same Model A club with me in FL back 20 years ago....

good point Chris

my success has been ebay and FB, but this isnt my car, so just leading the horse to water, but lots of judgement on the horses teeth! :)

The average user age for Facebook is 25-34. That is not exactly the age range interested in buying a Model A.
