New to this forum and I already have a question I hope someone can help with. Last weekend I bought a 1966 Fairlane hardtop, and it doesn't have a gas cap. The tank is a replacement tank that was already there when the previous owner got it, so he doesn't know if it's the right tank or not, and says he couldn't find a cap that fit. My question is, does the '66 Fairlane have a filler neck with a flange, similar to the Mustangs of that year? Currently the filler tube on the tank comes out directly behind the license plate.
