New hood latches?

Snyders sells a neat little rubber end cap for the latches that should help prevent paint chips in the fenders.


Every business has a different pricing strategy to suit their needs. Speedway and Macs/Ecklers/Turn5 obviously have very different strategies. Their business... their decisions.
 
The best source for parts is your local club. Join and let them know what you need. Someone will have a nice set tucked away and let you have them cheap. You may need to clean and repaint them.
 
I put a set on my 29 Tudor from Smith and Jones from South Carolina. They were black powder coated and are working well. I had my car judged in Touring class last year and nothing was noted by the judges on the latches. They also offer the same latch for the 30-31’s for $18.50 each. If they are the same quality as the 28-29 latches then you should be good to go.
 
Hey Bruce of MN, could you post a picture or two of what the look like dipped in the black coating? I had the same thought to try that on my latches to protect the fender paint but wasn’t sure how it would look.
