Looking for a banjo bolt for the manifold vacuum line for a 42"Ford from the manifold to the Dissy .....

The fitting usually used in this location is the windshield wiper motor silencer to which the vacuum hose to the motor is attached.p/n 11A17595

As Gary said if you have this setup just cut the hose and put a w/w "T" into it and run 1 line to w/w and the oyher to the dizzy. problem solved. easy fix no need to find a banjo bolt with the correct threads. ken ct.There are nylon "T" fittings to do this.

If you want to keep the hard line with the banjo installed you will need either the silencer or will have to make a banjo type bolt. Ken's suggestion will also work but you will not have the hard line to the dizzy. You will have a rubber hose.

If there is an agricultural machionery dealer in your area they will have the banjo fitting you need
Have fun

Looking for a banjo bolt for the manifold vacuum line for a 42"Ford from the manifold to the Dissy .....

If you have a 'Speed Shop' in your area, they will have steel banjo bolts with the sealing washers. I believe you need a banjo bolt with 3/8 - 24 threads (check the threads in your manifold and the hole in the banjo fitting of your distributor vacuum line). To modify the bolt for the wiper hose, use a drill the same size as the small hole in the treaded end of the banjo bolt and drill the hole all the way through the head of the bolt. Then cut a 3/4" long piece of copper or steel tubing of the size required for the ID of the wiper hose. Drill a hole approximately 1/4" deep in the new hole in the head of the bolt the size of the tubing OD. Use JB Weld or any other epoxy on the first 1/4" of the OD of the tube to cement the tube into the hole in the head of the bolt. Allow the epoxy to set up. You now have a 1/2" of tubing to attach the wiper hose. This worked great on my 42 engine.

I believe I have the elusive bolt. I'm a 34 guy so not up on your era. But going through special hardware collection I believe I found one. If you want a picture of bolt respond to twinjoan@gmail.com
