How does one distinguish the 40 from the later wheels? I have a bunch of wheels (over 30 of them), but never have seen much info on identifying the years. Likely there is a code somewhere and I notice variations on the centers. I can get close as far as years, but never seem to know for sure. Rod

I have one. Needs blasting and repaint but solid and no pitting and good lug holes. This is a true 40 Ford wheel 16X4 without the angled surface in the tube area. $40 plus shipping. Would use my discount FedEx account rate for actual shipping cost.
