Need help with starter switch info

Picture beneath 27 t pickup is a switch with two terminals and a yellow wire. One cable goes to battery and other to starter? Is this correct wiring and should the yellow wire go to the cable which goes to the battery?

yes, if it goes to the other one you will only have power when the starter switch is pressed down. This happens more often then you would think.
