hi--have a cast bracket w/ part no : 48-711215 ! any ideas ?
thanks, Bruce (410) 879 8039H Bel Air, Md.

If you don't get an answer based on the part number alone perhaps a picture would help. If it's unique to the roadster the the two parts that come to mind immediately are either the windshield stanchion mounting bracket or the B pillar support bracket.

Post a picture so we can maybe help out. Don't know about anyone else but part numbers are sorta meaningless compared to seeing the actual part. I know guys who can ID even nuts and bolts but need to see the actual.

could be a part of an assembly. Ford did not list every part in a part book, if the part was an assembly and was only sold as such then the complete assembly part number was used. For example the brake hub and drum were only sold together. The PN you give is one away from the rubber pad used under the roadster and phaeton front windshield stanchion 48-711216 & 7. post a photo

If you got that number off of the part it is a casting number. Casting numbers and part number are sometimes the same, but not always. That number is not in the 1935 body parts list. I also could not find it in the engineering number to part number interchange book. Engineering numbers and casting numbers and part numbers can all be different.

The part is the Left Hand Stanchion Support for a 35 roadster or phaeton. It goes inside the cowl and provides support for the chromed windshield stanchions. Below is a picture of a pair of these items..48-711214/5
