Where is the best place to get a muffler and tailpipe for a '59 Custom 300 w 292. engine??

Thanks

I work at the NAPA store in Mansfield, Ohio, I will check tomorrow and see if we still have availability and part numbers for your exaust system parts. I'll let you know the part numbers so you can get your local NAPA to get them for you, if they are available

Cecil, We don't sell alot of exhaust parts anymore. Most people take their cars to an exhaust shop where they bend the pipes on site. In the 70s we kept alot of pipes and mufflers in stock, but when the shops got tubing benders, our exhaust business fell way off. For us, there is no sense in stocking a bunch of pipes and mufflers that aren't going to sell. They take up a lot of room in our store, that we can use for other items that move faster. We still have a vintage exhaust catalog and if the pipes are listed, we may be able to get them from our warehouse in Columbus, Ohio. Do you have a NAPA store close to you? If you do, you could see if one of the older employees would be willing to help you with locating vintage parts for your car. I have been able to find alot of parts for my 69 Torino at our store. Granted, at times we don't have them in stock, but I can order them from our warehouse or the manufacturer.

Cecil, I am sorry to report, that our exhaust books do not go back any further than 1965. Check around your area and see if there is a exhaust shop that can make up a replacement system for your car. Again, Sorry, and if there is anything else I could help you find, please just ask.

I ordered a custom built muffler from Waldron for $80.00 + 20.00 shipping and can get a tailpipe custom bent and installed locally for $60.00.
