Model A Black Fenders Paint Question

I am having trouble finding a true deep black paint for spot touching up a front fender on my 31 Sport Coupe. I have tried rattle can spray paints, but they all seem to be, at best, a very dark grey. My fenders were painted a very deep dark black enamel by the OP when the car was restored.

So, here's my question. Does anyone have black paint codes that would produce a deep dark black?

Thanks, Keith (The Geezer)

You are most likely going to need to buff up a spot, and have somebody shoot it with a scanner. There are a dozen shades of deep black.(could be dozens actually)

The deepest black paint I have found is PPG's 9700 in Concept. It's almost a blue-black, much darker and deeper than 9300. It may be problematic buying some because PPG has been phasing the Concept Series of paint out of its line. Your local supplier may not be able to provide it for you. Concept is expensive, but an excellent paint that covers well, is easy to buff out and is very durable. I sprayed my 1928 Phaeton with Concept in 1999 and even though it spent several years outside in the elements, it still has a deep shine. Well worth the money.

Thank you all for your input. Looks like I should get it color scanned and go from there.

I have had good luck with this DA 1600 Gloss Black

Depending on the time frame the car was painted Dupont had a very deep black called
Jet Black.
If your going to rattle can it, you should be able to have your local paint distributor
put the paint in a spray can for you.
