Lowering shackles source

I just took measurements rear 26 1/2 with 215-75-15 the top of my tire is aprx 1-2”above the rear fender lip . That could be off because I’m not 100% level , side to side .

I agree TJ, Tire fitment first then lowering if possible.

Ggmac.....I will try your measurement. I just measured up from the ground to the bottom of fender lip......25 3/4 rear, 27 1/2 front.

Anybody like raised white letter or outlined white letter tires.......I like to push peoples buttons sometimes.

You won’t get the 235s on let alone off if you have the original rear end and using mid 60s 15-5 1/2” rims .

That spring does look alot flatter than mine . What angle are your shackles at ? I see you have tube shocks , nice . I just went through a week of r&r rear shocks , adding correct oil , adjusting, installing new links etc . Tube shocks are so much easier .

The shackles appear to be in the 45 degree neighborhood. They 2 1/2 inches center to center.

I just got this car, so the shocks were done by previous owner.

If the 215X75's are already tucked up inside the fender by 1/2" you will not be able to put a bigger tire on the car.
