Loose front outer bearing race

I spun a bearing on the driver's side of my 28 roadster. When replacing the bearing, I noticed that the outer race would move. Reading old threads, I used a punch to put some divots in the hub and used Loctite sleeve retainer as suggested in these threads. To be safe, I removed the front passenger side brake drum to check it out and noticed that that race is loose, too. I think ultimately I will get some oversized races from Berts, but in the mean time, i was wondering whether I can remove that race and repeat what I did on the driver's side? I have a brass punch that I can use to remove that race. Or should I buy a new bearing and race. The bearing is an original Ford Bower bearing, so pretty old. The bearing still looks good

In my opinion, if the bearing you have is in good shape with no pitting, it is probably far superior to any bearing you can buy today. Unless you can find an NOS bearing, use the old one.

NEVER EVER re-use an old bearing in a "spun" housing cheaper in the long run to just replace your axles&hubs with new or GOOD condition 2nd hand ones &with NEW TIMKEN bearings cones&cups, ANYTHING else is just a temporary " cure/fix"......
