took the 55 out to a show/ cruise yesterday did 65/70 on the highway a few little rattles from front end although all new only over rough surfaces soundlike loose sheetmetal {anyone else have a clue where to start looking } handled well had a/c charged today only to have the door striker break so door would'nt open ordered a new one with overnite shipping which will cost more then the part i'm sure i'm guessing 2000 rpm in 5th at those speeds not bad for junkyard parts i replaced the temp gauge with a mechanical one and what do you know 185% all day around 65 lbs oil pressure although alittle smoke out of left exhaust looks like blowby hope to make a local get together on thursday george barris

It sounds like you are on the road for good now. The minor "issues" will keep you busy forever, but the fun is worth the effort.

On my 56 I got the electric wipers installed and the air condition also. Haven't had it charged yet. I had the front seat out to do the work and the wife wanted me to raise the seat for her so I did.When I got the seat back in for her to test to see if it suit her which it did. Then I wanted to take the 56 for a test run and about 4 miles the gen. light came on??? we went home and put the 56 back in the garage.I got a new Voltage regulator comming tomorrow. Hope that the trouble???If not the generator will half to come off and check out.Always something I guess.Still got the door and vent glass to change.
