Lockwood outside brakes

Does anyone know anything about accessory Lockwood brakes (small drum) ?? Are they activated by separate rods from a separate handle, hooked up to the existing emergency lever, or connected somehow to the brake pedal?? I'm in the process of buying a '25 coupe that mayl need some extra help getting stopped .Thanks :Bruce

These should get you started. If they are cable activated there is a lot of info on hooking them up. If they are rod, I would use the unit shown in the last link. It hangs on the cross shaft but swings under so you still have your parking brakes which the equalizer sold in the catalogs does not.
