I was able to pickup 3 pairs of rear Lincoln Zephyr brake backing plates the other day. Are these worth anything?

I just checked my Lincoln Chassis book and the REAR backing plates are interchangeabale from 1939 to 1948. The fronts are different for 1939 - 40 , 1941, and 1942 - 48. The fronts have a difference in offset apparantly and the rears can be used on the front of Fords.

YES,

They have good value.

The rear Lincoln Brakes can be used as front brakes with front '46-'48 Ford Spindles and '39-'48 drums with very little modification. :)

I also picked up some Lincoln Rear backing plates and want to run them on the front of my 34. Will the early (rounded) spindles work or do I need the later (squared) type spindles? I havent aquired a good set of spindles yet so if anyone has some, please pm me...

There are advantages to using the original 34 spindles. This can be done by using an adaptor kit that I have made. Got your PM and will be in touch with you on Monday. I am on vacation this week, so trying not to think too hard....
