Brent:
Are you saying there are no longer replacement new springs available for Mofel A Fords?
I faced this issue a couple of years ago when I needed a new front spring.
Up until a few years ago the person to get replacement Model A springs was Travis Cook, I think his company was "A-springs" or something similar. From what I understand, he was having difficulty getting steel in the proper thicknesses, and decided to shut down the business. Big loss to the hobby.
Fast forward to the present. Currently Eaton Detroit offers new replacement springs for the Model A. However, their replacement spring for the front has eight leaves, not the original ten, likely due to thickness of steel available. One has to suspect that even if the dimensions are correct, it may be a stiffer spring. There may be some overseas manufacture springs out there but as far as I know none of the usual vendors carries them. Snyders catalog shows a 10-leaf import as "Discontinued" and an 8-leaf (maybe the Eaton Detroit?) as special order only.
I ended up getting a bunch of front end assemblies, cannibalizing spring leaves, re-arching them, and hoping for the best.
There do seem to be spring shops that can hot arch spring leaves. However, you'd need to get them the spring leaves and the dimensions you need. That information is available on the original drawing but I've never seen a decent reproduction of that table that I could read.
