We (at least I) didn't look on it with derision.
The sole Chinese Launderer I knew growing up spoke EXACTLY like that - but he could iron up shirts faster than any Military Cadet - and better to boot.
And HE KNEW IT. He was an expert in his trade equal to none - and he wasn't afraid to let you know he knew.
The world needs more people like that.
