John Mummert - y Block alternative for rebuild kit

Anyone know if John Mummert is still operating?

Called numerous times and always get voicemail but never a returned call. This morning tried to leave a message but got an automated announcement saying the voicemail was full which is somewhat ominous.

Anyone recommend a reasonably priced alternative? Looking for a full build kit for a 292.

I see complete Y-Block rebuild kits on EBAY all of the time. They are for stock engines and don't offer forged pistons etc for performance like Mummert does though.

Thanks guys, I tracked him down. Seems he was shut on Friday and his voicemail filled up over the weekend.

All sorted out and got everything ordered.
 
I've noticed recently that having instant 24/7 internet access to websites that sell things I'd love to have, has caught me off guard when I call and get no answer at a business with regular or occasionally casual office hours. :)
 
wex65, go back and edit your profile, add your city and state, so in the future if you need info or help the guys and send you to the nearest place
 
dmsfrr hit the nail on the head. John, like Ted Eaton and Tim Mc., run so hard with small companies I don't know when they sleep. They probably don't. I just put motor #3 on the road with John's parts. All good, and worth the time to catch him.
