Installing wind wing brackets

I have the windwing bracket kit that mounts to the door. The brackets have 3 holes each for screws. Two holes are on one side of the pivot pin hole and one
is on the other side. My question is how to mount this bracket. Do the two holes face to the front of the car, or does the one hole side do that?

Here's how I did it on a 1929 Murray Town Sedan. Some knucklehead before me drilled the mounting holes in the wrong place (in the window reveals!) without measuring or trial fitting the brackets and glass. When the glass was added, the windwings tilted at an angle. You can see the problem in the first photo. I only discovered this AFTER I had painted the body. I had to measure and mark new holes (they appear white in one photo), fill in the wrong holes, drill new holes in the correct position and then mask and respray the window reveals in the front doors. A lot of work because someone didn't take the time to mock fit and drill the brackets. Grrrrr....Note where I drilled the new holes, if you have the same style brackets as I had.
'Sorry...the photos are not in order. But you get the idea!

Thank you Marshall. You have the two holes facing front, and that's the way I'll do it. Seems to me the torque on the brackets would be backwards due to the wind, so two screws to the front would give more strength to the brackets.

Yup! Besides what you have observed, Oldgearz, with the brackets oriented the way you see them in the photos, the windwing glass placement vis-a-vis the window opening in front looks better. I test fitted the brackets both ways with the glass and decided I liked the look better with the two holes in front. To each his own, however.
