How do I clean sporte coupe canvas top

[C26Pinelake]

I have atan sport coupe canvas top that needs cleaning to remove water stain. Can you apply soap to this fabric or is there a special cleaning product ? Obviously I don't want to wreck the material so I need your help. Is it okay to get this top wet ? I know nothing about it am quite nervous about cleaning it !!
Thanks so much !

The previous owner of my coupe used a solution of bleach and
water, which did a good job of cleaning the canvas. However,
as you can see from my avatar, the top has turned white! this
is not a good thing if you are a purist, but it works for me. If
you choose this option be careful because too much bleach will
weaken the fabric. I'm sure someone else is bound to have a
better method. Personally, I'd call LeBaron Bonney. I'm sure they
will know the answer to your question.

I've had good success with Ragg Topp on a tan Corvette fabric top that lives outside under trees. Two-can system - one cleaner, one sealer. www.wolfsteins.com.
