I am at least in this country . Prostate cancer is a tricky one and discussions about it consume a lot of my consultation time with male patients. As I understand it you are talking about an illness that 80% of 80 year old and 100% of 90 year old men have (sorry guys) and they generally die of something else other than the prostate problem . The question is given these fiqures at what point you should do something about it. Unfortunately this exact point ,the best treatment and the role and effectiveness of prostate screening has as far as I can work out not been exactly determined. There are a couple of big studies in the wind that might help us. Just one example of how medicine is not as clear cut as people think
