hershey

It's raining right now and I had planned to go to Carlisle today. Friday is my backup day and the weather is for rain in the morning and sun in the afternoon. The 7 day weather forecast is showing rain Mon, Tues and Wed for next week for Hershey. Hope Thurs or Fri is good weather, would like to make Carlisle and Hershey
 
I usually make two big swaps a year - spring Charlotte and Hershey - and this won't be any different. I spend all year making my list for Hershey and always enjoy the hunt for parts. Hope the rain gets out before I get there on Wednesday. I'm planning on sticking around till Saturday so should get a couple good days in.
 
I would love to go again this year, but getting a room is practically impossible. We have tried and tried but nothing is available in our price range and within 30 miles of Hershey. If you are not a yearly attendee and a room reserved year after year, you are out of luck. Has anyone experienced this problem?

Sleep in your car. Don't laugh, that use to be the norm in deluxe accomodations.
 
We wanted to go, but were unable to find a place within our distance and price range. It seems that the "regulars" reserve the rooms a year in advance; which I would do too, if I could ever get into the loop. :(
 
For those with bad legs...there is GOOD handicapped parking right at the stadium, but you'd better get there early.
I discovered this after a couple of years of pushing my late wife in a wheelchair over a muddy trail from a farther parking field...
