I have been working on starting my '27 Tudor with an NH carb. Here's what happens..
1. if I leave the car alone for an hour or so, it fires right on bat with a starter. It'll run decently for about 3-5 minutes with gas and spark open about half way down, while running I cannot close the levers much or it'll begin to miss and sputter. I can get about 1/4" down and if I close her more she'll start slowing dying.
2. then after the 3-5 minutes of running, it sputters and dies. Once that happens I cannot start it again. It'll hit and fire on a few cylinders irregularly and choke. Once this happens it starts popping and coughing and I cannot re-start it for about an hour later.
Can someone help me ID what you think it may be? Gas comes out the bowl, filler hole is clear, wires are new and not frayed or damaged.
Thanks in advance,
Jim from IL
