Heinze coil ID

Any body know the correct year these were from? Three of them are 2 3/8 thick x 3 1/8 wide x 5 inches tall and the other is about an 1/8 inch wider and 2 1/4 inch thick, same height. I did some research but spent way to long looking with no definitive answer. Thanks

The points look like Heinze to me. Also the placement of the buttons. Heinze also stenciled a letter on each coil and it looks like the one on the left has a "K" in the proper location. One of the fellows who posts often on the MTFCA forum reproduces those coils and could tell you more definitely.
 
Does anyone know how much the fellow mentioned above sells his "reproduced" coils for? It's getting harder to find used Model T coils at the antique stores in my area.
 
LOL. I'm a flea market coil shopper too and it is getting tougher. I've never seen a Heinze coil in my travels so far so I feel your pain. I prefer finding coils this way mostly because the sellers, especially the younger ones, don't know or care what it is and they come cheap. There a post on testing coils above this one that has a pic of my latest find. A rolled brass top KW that I got almost for nothing. (It was a mess but it's cleaned up & re-built in the pic).
 
If you are looking for new Heinze coils, they run from $170 to $200 depending on what year you need them for. If you want the more standard coil they are cheaper, but why not find original ones and rebuild them. Finding original ones aren't too hard, I just walk out to one of my shops and pick some out of crates were I have hundreds of them stored away. Don't tell my wife, but there is even some in the living room behind my chair.

This is one of two reasons why original coils are hard (next to impossible) to find. 1 reason is you own most of them. The other reason is they got used for electric fences until they all died.
 
Most of them, I doubt it. 15 million T's times 4 coils per car is 60 million coils plus the replacement ones that were made and I only have around a little over 500. When I go to auctions people just want 1 or 2 I buy them all. People are afraid to bid a hundred or two hundred for a pile, but when you do the math it comes out to be 2 or 3 dollars a piece. Some people collect pop bottles others collect coils.
 
Wow. I've never seen that many coils in one place except in a picture never mind a lot that size for sale! The biggest group I've seen was about 12 at an auto swap meet. The guy wanted $10 a piece for them and wouldn't move. I walked. $5's my limit and it'd have to be pretty good for that. $2-4 usual.
