Front Mono Spring on a '34 5W Coupe?

You are correct about the breaking. One of our club members had one in his '39 and it broke. It cured me from wanting one.

^ The above was my initial skepticism about the transverse mono spring. I am ordering the original type multi leaf spring for this application. If this were a lighter car I could possibly live with it. When one considers the weight of a flathead V8 and its components all relying on a single spring that is only 1/4" thick X 1-3/4" wide at the eye ends gives one pause.
