Fordbarn social groups

Why bother joining???
A few of the groups are getting by ok..(just barely actually)
It's just like the chat room...There were only about 4 of us using it so they took it away.
The old folks are bordering on alzhiemers and the young guys are too busy
doing cars or women.

Pete, You know; I'd love to 'chat' with you. I'd love to pick your brains. I tried logging on several times to the chat site on the old barn, but alas, there was never anyone to talk to! I am in New Zealand, there is a major timezone difference. Is there a chatroom on this site? If so, maybe we could pre-arrange a time when several of us could get together and have a gossip session? I would be prepared to get up in the middle of the night to do so. Brian
 
Brian. Sounds like a good plan, lets get together on our different tome zones and try to pick a good time for all of us, it sure would be neat to talk to Pete and others again. I am on central time here in oklahoma U.S.A

Getting together is not the problem.. There is no place to do it right now..
Email is about the only answer for me right now.
 
A social group is what you make it,I started a 1952-56 Ford group on the HAMB in May of last year we now have over 332 members worldwide even our own club T-shirts.As I visited other websites I sent out invitations to join our group to folks with our interests and the recruiting has paid off big time.A lot of people have no clue what the social group is or how to get there,if you know a lot of guys from the old Fordbarn send them pm's and spread the word.One of our members has even put together a members map to locate folks in the group,guys are getting together to help on projects and making new friends sharing their common interests.
 
Well Pete, you know I tried on a couple of different social groups here. But it seems there are more readers than writers (except for tech stuff which is excellent) in the barn. I started the pictures & videos social group and there are over 100 members, most are viewers though, and that's okay. Some don't care for the social groups while others prefer them. Personal preference I guess. I'm impartial, i just like reading the stuff and providing some input - and sometimes humor - from time to time.

Yup...Me too...Since I have just about been priced out of real racing, bench racing is about all there is left that is affordable...
