Ford Wire Wheel Tag

[Rowdy]

I was sorting through a box of parts and found a metal tag with the Ford script in the middle anf the words "Hayes Demountable Wire Wheel Patented Hayes Wheel Compaby Jackson Mich. USA". I am assuming this is from the Model T era. How rare are these to still find? Just curious. I will try to post pic's later tonght or tommorrow. Thanks Rod

Hayes made these for their #3 size 30 x 3 1/2 wire wheels as accessories obviously for Model T Fords. They were obsoleted and discontinued in 1919 with the introduction of the Hayes demountable rim wire wheels that took the wood wheel rim.

Thanks,, Guesse this is the first one of these I have found and I have a ton of T chassis parts. Being a discontued accessory would make it abit rare, but not likely overly valuable as I have just one so far and not likely many of the accessory wire wheels survived. Rod
