ford-o-matic how much?

hey everyone im pulling a ford-o-matic and was wondering what a fair price for one as im going to try and sell it for some extra parts money but have never seen one for sale before and dont have anything to compare to..any info is appreciated thank you..it is not a overdive

You may have to hang on for a while to get a buyer as it is a limited market but $250-$300 would be a fair price for one in good shape it would interchange in 1954-56 cars,it took me 1 1/2 years to sell my T-86 Overdrive for $250 two years ago,now the demand has gone up.The price of shipping gets scary, the H.A.M.B. has what is called a HAMB relay you can post so if anyone is going that way you can hook up with them and make arrangements to kick in for gas expenses etc.

I've got 2 FordoMatics and a 3spd trans, far as I know all 3 are good used & rebuildable. I've seen both types around here at swaps under $100 but don't know if they sold.

As Jeff said, there's a limited market for them.

Shipping has to be expensive too.

Sometimes you see them for sale on E-Pay. If worst comes to worst, you could always look in there and see what the going price is. I also have an extra Ford-O-Matic sittin on the garage floor here. Been here for decades now. Got a 3-spd manual sittin next to it. Anybody want one ????

transmissions can be shipped via Greyhound bus cheap. May want to check it out next time you got something heavy or bulky to ship.
