Ford Horn 1957?

I have owned this horn for sometime and I have been told it could be for a Ford V8, on the band that holds the cover on is paint stamped '5th June 1957'
The internal parts are similar to 1948 Ford horn.

Over my thirty plus years working for Ford assembly, I saw items like this come from several manufacturers. Different assembly locations may bolt on accessories that look very different than other places during any one model year. Some days, the process book is only a guide line. We would bolt on almost anything that fit to keep that line running. Any upgrade is acceptable at any time, never a downgrade.

Did you work at TCAP ? I used to go there a few times a year to do drive audits on Ford Rangers when I worked for Ford Powertrain. I went to TCAP from about 1988 thru about '93. Back when they built super cab Rangers and F150's there.
