Ford 300 CI valve part #

The machine shop building a flathead for me suggested using 1965 to mid 80's exhaust valves from the Ford 300 CI engine which are 1.560 as an upgrade for the stock 1.500 Flathead intake valves. They are the same length, and the groove for the retainer is in the same location. Since this is only.060 over stock, and easy to cut the seats. Any Fordbarners have a Ford part number for that exhaust valve. Thank you.

If you get the part number I may have some NOS valves if interested. I do not have the books to look up valve numbers of this era, so I have not IDd any of them yet. Rod

Any machine shop worth his saw dust will have books for that. I used aftermarket Chevy SS valves in one flathead I did. The Manley were less expensive than the stock valves.

Thank you for response. I have a NAPA # so far, V2074. NAPA says they are Sealed Power. The machine shop had another #, SBI's #01358, which didn't help. I would like to get the original Ford number if possible. I believe the Chevy valves are 1.600, and the retainer groove is not in the same location as the Ford.

Update. Speedway Motors Part # is 91015311, but these are new aftermarket. No sure of country of origin, so would like to find original NOS Ford or NORS stock.

Still looking for the Ford exhaust valve part number for the 300CI engine, 1965 through 1986. I have source for them, but they have pallet loads of NOS & NORS valves, and I need the original number to help them locate them in their stash. Thank you Fordbarners.

Raceron1120 (former Ford dealer parts manager) will be able to help you. Go to guy for Ford part #'s. Try sending him a pm.

The original #s for 240 cid 6 cylinder valves are C5AZ-6505-A (exhaust) and C5AZ-6507-A (intake)

Mine is an older parts book but it says the exhaust valves were replaced by D5TZ-6505-E

I don't have a book for the later 300s.
