The valve covers and the exhaust manifolds look strange for a 272-312 engine. It may be the Lincoln based engine used in big ford trucks?????????. Even the trans looks strange??

Look at the bolts that hold the exhaust manifold on. If they are in a straight line then it may be a 292. If they are offset, its a Lincoln based engine.

I've not seen a Lincoln Yblock with an 'armburner' crossover. Casting # on side of block should give a good idea to confirm size.

here's pics with about half the
accessories off

The guts from that generator can be put in a 48 and older housing to convert the older cars to 12 volts. Any good generator shop can do that for a song compared to the cost of the new 12 volt conversions.
