Floor mats for 1951 Ford with Fordomatic

I was unable to find floor mats to fir my 1951 Ford convertible with Fordomatic transmission. The was that the brake pedal goes through the floorboard, and there were no floor mats to accommodate that feature. I made a pattern that had a recess - not a hole, but a jog in the floormat to accept the brake pedal; and another on the opposite side to fit around the dimmer switch. The GGBailey company was very helpful, and used my pattern to make floor mats for my car. The reason I'm posting this is that the GGBailey company has now incorporated my patterns into their system, so anyone who now wants floor mats for their 1951 Ford with automatic transmission can get them. I am not affiliated with the GGBailey company; I am posting this to aid others in their search for floor mats.

' 51 Ford floor mats of any type are currently made of "Unobtanium". I had heard this many years ago, so I ordered a couple of spares. A couple of years ago, a member needed one, so I decided to sell one. After several days of looking for the exact right box, I thought I found it, so I packed it up and shipped it out. The buyer received a scrap of cardboard with the address label (USPS). The only thing I could think of doing was to send him the other spare, but when I opened the original package, the mat was cracked in several places. We decided not to waste the cost of shipping it.

So, if you find a source, let me and "flatford8" know. Thanks for the tip on the floor mats; they may cover the cracks in the extra mat.

The floor mats that I had custom made by the GGBailey company will only fit a shoebox with automatic transmission because there is no hole for the clutch pedal.
