engine dip stick

I have been looking at all my sources for a dip stick for a 312 motor that fits in my 56 mercury. anybody knows where I can get one?

IIRC, the dipstick & tube from any Y-block powered 'full sized car', not a t-bird or truck, would fit.
It mounts in the right front corner of the block, correct?

They are almost impossible to find. I ended up buying a repro Tbird dipstick (about two inches longer than a sedan) and remarking it for the sedan.

You might try a post over at yblocksforever. Couple guys have been selling off these odd parts. Put it in classifieds, it will come up in "latest post". Worth a shot.
