I have just replaced my electric fuel pump on my stock 6-volt,positive ground 49 merc. My last one stopped working properly after years of service,so I replaced it with the same. I have the pos. lead grounded to the frame,and the neg to the acc.post on ignition switch; this has worked fine for years. Now, the pump works in the acc. position and the start position,but when the engine runs, the pump quits.All grounds are clean and wiring new. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
